Sharing and Reflecting on Two Research Sources

My topic for my research paper is: The Ecstasy and the Agony of Technology: The Promise of Apples Products vs. the Realities of Factory Labor Used to Create Them.  I agree that the peril and real human cost of manufacturing ideal Apple products need to be considered as well as the conditions in which they are being built within.

I found this source off of YouTube. This clip is very helpful and the information which I obtained from this clip is someones own experience from visiting Foxconn one of the major factory which makes Apple products. Mike Daisey which is talking about his own curiosity  of where Apple products come from and where they are produced at, actually took a trip out to Shenzhen, China. He had read and done research before heading out to China, but when reaching there he spoke to some of the factory workers, observed their working conditions and even seeing their physical appearances which he described as many having physical damages to their hands and medical injuries. His first reaction as he stated when reaching this plant was shocked!  Foxconn Company having 400,030 workers but no medical treatment to them and their the "machines" to the company in which they are producing and making these Apple products.

This article touches upon alot of parts of the Apple products and how they are being made, working conditions, regulations and laws and explosions which have occurred in two of the factories which produce Apple products. Chengdu plant in China is one of the plants which experienced an explosion first hand. One of the workers which this article focuses mainly on is someone of the name: Lai Xiaodong. The article elaborates on his story along with background and how even ends up working for one of the factories that produce Apple products. This article gives alot of information on Apple, two of the factories which produce their products and even someones story first handed.
